Job Description:

We are seeking a strategic and highly experienced HRBP – Operations to act as a dedicated partner to our core technical functions, including Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain & Logistics. In this senior-level role, you will bridge the gap between human resources strategy and operational execution. Your mission is to ensure that our technical teams are equipped to deliver on their objectives through the strategic attraction, development, and retention of specialized talent.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR professional who understands the unique pressures of a production-driven environment and can navigate complex organizational transformations with technical and emotional intelligence.

Requirements:

Strategic Business Partnering

  • Operational Alignment: Collaborate with heads of Engineering, Production, and Logistics to align HR strategies with specific operational goals and output targets.

  • Talent Lifecycle: Lead the end-to-end talent strategy for technical departments, focusing on attracting niche engineering talent and nurturing high-potential production leaders.

  • Change & Transformation: Lead change management initiatives to support organizational shifts, process improvements, and technical upgrades within the operations functions.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Advisory: Act as a senior consultant to line managers on complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.

  • Labor Law Mastery: Ensure all operational HR activities comply with Nigerian employment laws and industry-specific regulations.

  • Culture Building: Foster a high-performance culture that prioritizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

HR Operations & Systems

  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize HR Information Systems (HRIS) to track key metrics such as turnover, engagement, and productivity, providing data-driven recommendations to the leadership team.

  • Performance Management: Oversee the appraisal and development cycles for the operations departments, ensuring technical competencies are accurately assessed and rewarded.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • Education: Possession of a relevant Master’s Degree (e.g., Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or MBA).

  • Work Experience: At least 8–10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a significant portion dedicated to a Business Partnering model.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of employee relations, change management, and organizational transformation.

  • Technical Savvy: Advanced proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and data analytics.

  • Sector Familiarity: Experience partnering with Engineering, Supply Chain, or Production functions is highly desirable.

  • Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and engage technical frontline staff.

  • Legal Knowledge: Thorough understanding of current Nigerian employment laws and labor practices.
