Job Description:

An Human Resources (HR) Manager is the go-to person for everything related to a company's employees. Instead of just handling paperwork, an HR Manager connects executive business goals with the daily needs of the workforce.

Because people are a company’s most valuable asset, the HR Manager’s main goal is to build a happy, productive, and high-performing workplace culture where everyone can succeed.

Requirements:

  • Hiring and Onboarding: They design job roles, run the recruitment process, interview candidates, and welcome new hires into the company.

  • Employee Relations: They serve as the trusted contact for all staff issues, helping to resolve complaints, office conflicts, and personal work requests smoothly.

  • Performance Management: They set up fair appraisal systems (like KPIs) that track employee performance and reward hard work.

  • Training and Development: They find skills gaps in the team and organize training courses to help employees grow in their careers.

  • Payroll and Benefits: They manage salary plans, health insurance, bonuses, and leaves to make sure compensation stays competitive.

  • Legal Compliance: They ensure the company strictly follows local labor laws (such as the Nigerian Labor Act) to avoid legal issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Certifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Professional certifications from bodies like the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), SHRM, or CIPD give candidates a major advantage.

Skills Needed

  • People Skills: Excellent active listening, negotiation, and relationship-building skills across all levels of a company.
