Job Description:
We are seeking an exceptionally organized, proactive, and values-driven Human Resources Manager to take comprehensive operational ownership of our human resource department in Lagos. Operating as a critical partner to management and a vital anchor for our staff, you will manage the full lifecycle of human resources, bridging the gap between corporate real estate growth objectives and peak employee execution.
This position demands a multi-skilled HR generalist who balances administrative precision with strong interpersonal emotional intelligence. You will hold absolute accountability for modernizing our talent pipelines, structuring performance evaluation frameworks, managing sensitive employee relations, and maintaining complete data hygiene across our HR infrastructure. Your ultimate mission is to safeguard company culture, eliminate employment compliance risks under Nigerian law, and build a high-performance workforce that drives our property development goals.
Requirements:
1. Talent Acquisition & Comprehensive Onboarding
End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the complete talent acquisition lifecycle—including drafting specialized job briefs, managing candidate sourcing channels, conducting rigorous screening interviews, and administering technical competency evaluations.
Strategic Induction: Design and execute structured onboarding and cultural orientation programs for new hires, accelerating their time-to-productivity and ensuring immediate alignment with corporate guidelines.
2. Performance Governance & Talent Development
Appraisal Harmonization: Coordinate and optimize periodic performance appraisal and staff evaluation workflows, training department heads on objective KPI tracking, feedback mechanics, and meritocratic grading.
Learning & Development Architecture: Diagnose skills gaps across sales, engineering, and administrative units, assisting in the design and rollout of targeted training, professional coaching, and continuous skill development tracks.
3. Employee Relations & Labor Law Compliance
Conflict Mediation: Act as a trusted, objective intermediary for workplace grievances and disciplinary issues—deploying proactive conflict resolution strategies to preserve team morale and psychological safety.
Regulatory Oversight: Continuously audit internal HR handbooks, workplace rules, and employment contracts to ensure total alignment with the Nigerian Labor Act and modern workplace safety standards.
Confidentiality Custodianship: Handle highly sensitive, complex employee issues with absolute professionalism, ensuring strict data privacy and discretion across all personal files.
4. HR Operations, Payroll Support & Administration
Compensation Inputs Management: Coordinate and compile vital pre-payroll datasets—accurately tracking staff attendance sheets, calculating commissions, managing leave balances, and routing deductions to finance.
Database & Registry Hygiene: Maintain, update, and audit physical personnel files and digital HRIS database systems, ensuring 100% accuracy regarding employee histories, contract dates, and performance records.
Executive Administrative Support: Provide agile, data-backed human capital reports, organizational charts, and strategic policy recommendations to executive management to inform structural business decisions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Academic Tracks
Degree Baseline: Minimum of a Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related behavioral/commercial discipline from an accredited institution.
Professional Edge: Active validation or progressive associate status with human capital bodies—such as the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) or SHRM—will be treated as a major competitive advantage.
Experience Parameters & Competency Metrics
Domain Longevity: Proven experience operating as an HR Executive, HR Officer, Senior HR Administrator, or Generalist within a structured corporate framework.
Sector Familiarity: Prior experience managing HR operations within a fast-moving real estate, property management, architectural engineering, or consulting firm is highly advantageous.
