Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber HR Manager to work directly with the COO and Managing Partner to engineer and execute the firm’s people strategy. In this role, you will be the custodian of our culture and the architect of our HR systems. You will transition seamlessly from high-level strategic planning to hands-on operational support, ensuring that our talent management practices are innovative, cost-effective, and fully aligned with our business objectives.
The ideal candidate is a Chartered HR Professional (CIPM/SHRM) with at least 6 years of experience and a proven ability to manage the entire employee lifecycle from aggressive recruitment and orientation to performance appraisal and grievance resolution.
Requirements:
1. Strategic HR Governance & Policy
Business Alignment: Develop and implement HR initiatives that directly support the firm’s overall business strategy.
Policy Architecture: Develop, recommend, and implement comprehensive personnel policies; maintain the employee handbook to ensure it remains a "living document."
System Design: Establish department goals, objectives, and robust filing systems for historical and current human resource records.
2. Compensation, Benefits & Performance
Remuneration Strategy: Annually update the firm’s compensation program, conduct salary surveys, and develop merit pools to ensure market competitiveness.
Benefits Stewardship: Perform benefits administration, including claims resolution, invoice approval, and cost-effectiveness re-evaluations.
Performance Excellence: Lead the appraisal program by training supervisors on coaching and discipline; schedule management conferences and analyze work results.
3. Talent Acquisition & Employee Relations
Recruitment Leadership: Drive the recruitment effort for all roles, from screening and interviewing to reference checks and extending job offers.
Culture & Counseling: Manage the career-path program and provide employee relations counseling; resolve grievances and conduct exit interviews to identify areas for improvement.
Organizational Design: Maintain organizational charts and employee directories, ensuring administrative staff and leadership are aligned on headcount and structure.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Relevant Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree.
Experience: Minimum of six (6) years of experience in HR management with a track record of implementing innovative solutions.
Certification: Mandatory professional certification (CIPM, SHRM, or GPHR).
Core Competencies
Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate HR initiatives in relation to established business goals.
Leadership & Navigation: Proactive in determining HR needs and providing hands-on support.
Technical IQ: Comfortable proficiency in MS Office and HR documentation software.
Ethical Practice: High level of integrity and cultural awareness in managing sensitive employee data.
