Job Description:

  • The Entry-Level HR Assistant will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department within a dynamic mining and industrial work environment.
  • This role involves assisting with the onboarding process, managing employee records, supporting staff welfare, and facilitating day-to-day HR operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment Support: Assist in recruitment activities, including job postings, CV screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding new hires.
  • Employee Records Management: Maintain and update employee files, records, and HR databases to ensure accurate information.
  • Onboarding and Orientation: Support staff onboarding and orientation processes to help new employees integrate smoothly into the company.
  • Attendance and Payroll Support: Assist with attendance tracking, leave management, and basic payroll documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Employee Inquiries: Handle employee inquiries and escalate issues when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • HR Policy Implementation: Support the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and company rules to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Training Coordination: Assist in coordinating training programs, meetings, and staff activities to promote employee development.
  • Employee Welfare Support: Support employee welfare initiatives and assist with disciplinary documentation processes.
  • Confidentiality Assurance: Ensure confidentiality of employee information at all times to protect sensitive data.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned to support the HR team.

Requirements:

 

  • Work Environment: Willingness to work in a mining/site environment to support operational needs.
  • Demographics: Female candidates aged 23-27 years are preferred for this role.

  • Time Management: Strong time management and multitasking abilities to handle various responsibilities effectively.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in HR is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • HR Knowledge: Basic knowledge of HR practices and Nigerian labour laws to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with employees and management.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and record-keeping skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Professionalism: High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for daily tasks.

Salary

N100,000 - N150,000 / month.
