Job Description:

• The Business Manager will oversee the overall operations, growth strategy, and financial performance of the company.
• This role is responsible for driving revenue, managing client relationships, ensuring operational efficiency across shipping and clearing activities, and aligning business objectives with industry regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversee daily business operations across shipping, clearing, and logistics activities.
• Drive business growth through client acquisition, contract negotiations, and service expansion.
• Manage budgets, cash flow, pricing strategies, and overall profitability.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian port regulations, customs processes, and shipping laws.
• Supervise departmental heads and ensure performance targets are met.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, customs officials, shipping lines, and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare management reports, forecasts, and performance reviews for executive decision-making.
• Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of port operations, customs clearing processes, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven leadership, negotiation, and business development skills.
• Financial acumen and experience managing operational budgets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7–10 years experience in the shipping, clearing, or logistics industry.
