Job Description:
We are seeking a high-energy, commercially driven, and tech-savvy Hotel Sales & Marketing Officer to lead our growth and brand visibility operations in Yaba. In this role, you will take full ownership of a busy hospitality sales desk driving corporate room bookings, expanding event space reservations, and aggressively scaling property revenue. This position requires an active blend of outbound B2B corporate prospecting, digital marketing execution, and hands-on relationship management.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of smashing sales targets, possesses excellent negotiation skills, and understands how to deliver a luxury customer experience from the initial pitch to checkout.
Requirements:
B2B Sales, Prospecting & Conversion
Lead Generation: Build and maintain an active database of potential corporate clients, event planners, and private organizations; conduct targeted market surveys to find prospective guests.
Pitching & Presentations: Conduct property tours and site visits; draft and pitch tailored sales proposals highlighting the hotel's premium features, amenities, and event spaces.
Rate Negotiation: Lead price and contract negotiations on behalf of hotel management, balancing client budgets with optimal property yield and profitability.
Pipeline Management: Convert inbound inquiries and outbound leads into confirmed room reservations, conference hall bookings, and long-term corporate retainerships.
Brand Promotion & Digital Marketing
Visibility Campaigns: Drive multi-channel marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness across digital, social, and traditional print mediums.
Asset Creation: Utilize digital design tools (such as Canva) to create eye-catching promotional materials, seasonal discounts, and weekend package flyers.
Attraction Growth: Coordinate and promote specific property attractions (e.g., restaurant specials, rooftop lounges, or spa services) to maximize non-room revenue.
Guest Relations & Operational Support
Inter-Departmental Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with front office, food & beverage, and housekeeping teams to ensure all custom client specifications for events and stays are met perfectly.
Quality Assurance: Actively monitor the quality of guest services, gathering post-stay feedback to foster repeat business and long-term loyalty.
Financial Planning: Formulate annual sales budgets, monitor monthly milestones, and implement agile commercial strategies to consistently exceed targets.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
Track Record: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in a sales, marketing, or high-touch customer-facing role (direct hospitality or corporate account management experience is preferred).
Technical Stack & Digital Fluency
Core Software: High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Design & Tools: Practical skills in Canva or basic graphic design tools for digital content creation.
Hospitality Systems: Prior hands-on experience with Property Management Systems (PMS) like Opera or similar hotel database systems is highly desirable.
Core Soft Skills
Communication: Highly confident, elegant, and persuasive verbal and written communication skills.
Drive: Self-motivated, target-driven, and fully capable of operating independently to close deals.
Organization: Exceptional time-management skills with a proven ability to coordinate multiple event timelines simultaneously.
