Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Senior PR Manager to lead our communication strategy and brand reputation from our Ikeja office. This is a role for a strategic heavyweight who can navigate the complexities of government relations, media landscapes, and high-stakes crisis management. You will be expected to operate with a high degree of independence, moving seamlessly from high-level strategy to on-site execution.

The ideal candidate is a "future-forward" practitioner who doesn't just use traditional PR tactics but views AI as a default lever to enhance creative output, sentiment analysis, and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

PR Strategy & Integrated Campaigns

• Strategic Ownership: Independently develop and implement communication strategies that align with corporate goals, taking full ownership of brand reputation impact.

• Integrated Execution: Lead the end-to-end planning of online-to-offline (O2O) campaigns, including major brand launches, industry exhibitions, and pop-up activations.

• Experience Design: Ensure that every touchpoint of a large-scale project—from trade shows to digital copy—remains flawlessly aligned with the brand identity.

Government & Media Relations

• Network Cultivation: Expand and maintain a robust network of core media contacts and relevant government stakeholders to establish long-term, trust-based channels.

• Collaborative Content: Drive high-quality media partnerships, including in-depth interviews, content co-creation, and agenda-setting initiatives.

• Crisis Management: Rapidly respond to and adeptly manage public opinion shifts and crisis communication situations with poise and precision.

AI-Powered Workflow Optimization

• Generative AI Integration: Skillfully leverage tools like ChatGPT and Midjourney for rapid drafting of speeches, press releases, and visual concept mockups.

• Data Insights: Use AI to aggregate sentiment data, extract market insights, and support data-informed decision-making.

• Process Evolution: Continuously explore and implement new AI applications to keep the team’s working methods at the cutting edge of the industry.

Strategic Counsel & Synergy

• Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, policy shifts, and competitor activity, delivering regular insight reports to senior management.

• Cross-Industry Partnerships: Identify and facilitate boundary-breaking collaborations with other brands to create viral, event-driven campaigns.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience (Meet at least one of the following):

• Corporate: 5+ years as a PR Manager in a large-scale enterprise with a proven portfolio.

• Agency: Senior Account Manager or Project Lead (or above) in a reputable PR/advertising agency, having served major tier-1 brand clients.

Mandatory Track Record:

• Proven Relationships: Demonstrable relationships with Nigerian government bodies and key media outlets.

• Event Leadership: A track record of orchestrating integrated marketing projects and large-scale launch events.

• Crisis Defusal: Ability to cite specific examples of successfully managing or defusing public sentiment.
