Job Description:
We are seeking an elite, high-energy, and commercially sharp Senior Operations Manager to take full operational and financial ownership of our premium restaurant and lounge in Lekki. Lekki's competitive nightlife and premium dining ecosystem demand a leader who does not just manage, but transforms—someone who understands luxury guest psychology, high-volume floor dynamics, and the precise execution required to deliver an unforgettable lifestyle experience.
In this role, you will be the chief conductor of both the Front-of-House (FOH) guest experience and the Back-of-House (BOH) culinary engine. You will hold direct P&L accountability, leading a large, diverse team of chefs, mixologists, floor supervisors, and guest relations hosts to maximize revenue while enforcing pristine service standards.
Requirements:
1. Operational Command & Floor Excellence
Day-to-Day Oversight: Synchronize and lead daily operations across both the fine dining restaurant and high-volume lounge sections, ensuring smooth transitions from day service to high-energy night shifts.
Labor Optimization: Design and implement data-driven staff rosters and shift schedules that perfectly align labor costs with peak trade volumes, minimizing overhead while maintaining elite speed of service.
Quality Assurance Audits: Conduct rigid pre-shift briefings and ongoing floor audits to ensure visual aesthetics, sound levels, lighting, temperature, and plate presentations exactly match our luxury brand blueprint.
2. Financial Stewardship & Supply Chain Architecture
P&L Management: Monitor operational budgets, analyze real-time sales data, and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as average spend per head, table turnover velocity, and wet/dry margin ratios.
Airtight Cost Control: Implement aggressive wastage-reduction protocols across the kitchen and bars. Conduct weekly physical inventory audits to minimize shrinkage and leakage.
Vendor & Supply Chain Strategy: Source, negotiate, and maintain strategic relationships with top-tier food, beverage, and equipment suppliers to guarantee cost-effective, timely deliveries without ever compromising on quality.
3. Elite Leadership & Talent Curation
High-Performance Culture: Oversee the strategic hiring, structured onboarding, and continuous coaching of all service and culinary personnel.
Capability Building: Establish regular masterclasses for mixologists and floor servers to enhance upselling techniques, deep product knowledge, and sophisticated hospitality etiquette.
Cross-Departmental Harmony: Foster seamless, real-time communication between the kitchen (BOH) and service staff (FOH) to eliminate ticket delays and friction.
4. Guest Experience & Reputation Management
VIP Concierge Execution: Cultivate long-term relationships with corporate clients, local high-net-worth individuals, and high-profile patrons, positioning the venue as Lekki's premier destination.
Escalation Resolution: Directly handle complex customer complaints with diplomacy and poise, ensuring all guest feedback is converted into an opportunity to build brand loyalty.
5. Compliance & Revenue Activation
Sanitation & Safety Governance: Enforce absolute compliance with federal and state health, safety, and food sanitation regulations (LASEPA, NAFDAC, and local government codes).
Commercial Activations: Partner with marketing teams and event promoters to design, launch, and execute high-yield weekly activations, themed nights, and exclusive corporate bookings that drive foot traffic.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Degree: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Track Record: Minimum of 5+ years of verifiable experience operating as an Operations Manager or General Manager within a high-volume premium restaurant, luxury hotel dining hub, or high-end lounge/nightclub environment.
Territory Footprint: Direct operational familiarity with the Lekki/Victoria Island hospitality demographic, vendor markets, and consumer trends is highly essential.
Core Competencies
Technical Mastery: Deep proficiency in utilizing modern Restaurant Point-of-Sale (POS) frameworks, inventory control tracking software, and Microsoft Excel for financial forecasting.
Financial Acumen: Advanced understanding of food and beverage costing, menu engineering, labor cost percentages, and general profit margins.
Personal Carriage: Impeccable professional appearance, high emotional intelligence, and excellent verbal communication style.
