Job Description:

Are you a technician with a passion for high-speed connectivity? A leading telecommunications giant in Nigeria is expanding its broadband footprint, and we need Home Broadband Router Installers to lead the charge. In this role, you are the final link between our advanced 5G/4G network and our customers' homes. You will be responsible for the professional installation of indoor and outdoor broadband units, precision cabling, and signal optimization to ensure a world-class internet experience. Requirements:

1. Technical Installation & Hardware Setup

• Deployment: Execute professional setups of 5G/4G Routers, MiFi devices, and high-performance Outdoor Units (ODU).

• Cabling Excellence: Expertly run, terminate, and clip Ethernet or Fiber cables, ensuring a clean, durable, and professional aesthetic for both indoor and outdoor environments.

• Network Configuration: Configure router settings, manage IP addressing, and ensure seamless device pairing for end-users.

2. Signal Optimization & Quality Assurance

• Site Surveys: Conduct pre-installation surveys to identify the optimal placement for hardware based on cell tower proximity.

• Performance Tuning: Utilize diagnostic tools to maximize signal strength metrics, specifically focusing on RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) and SINR (Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio).

• Speed Validation: Conduct post-installation throughput tests to verify that the broadband speeds meet our service level agreements (SLAs).

3. Customer Education & Reporting

• User Onboarding: Briefly educate customers on basic router management, password security, and troubleshooting steps.

• Field Documentation: Submit real-time installation reports, including signal readings and site photos, via our field operations app.

Qualifications and Skills:

Academic & Technical Foundation

• Education: OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

• Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on experience in telecom installations, ISP field support, or network cabling.

• Tools: Proficiency in using crimping tools, signal meters, and basic power tools for wall mounting.

Core Competencies

• Cabling Skills: Knowledge of T568A/B wiring standards and professional cable management.

• Physical Agility: Ability to work at heights (for ODU mounting) and spend significant time in the field.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot interference issues and identify the best signal "sweet spots" in complex building structures.
