Job Description:

We are seeking a visionary and high-impact Head of Asset Management to lead Tro-Vest’s strategic expansion. This is a top-tier leadership role designed for an expert in the Nigerian financial landscape who can drive our Assets Under Management (AUM) to the ₦100 billion milestone. You will be responsible for spearheading business development and marketing efforts across a diverse client spectrum, including Institutional, Retail, Corporate, and High-Net-Worth individuals.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned veteran of the investment banking or asset management sector with a proven track record of deposit mobilization and the ability to navigate complex market dynamics to deliver superior investment solutions.

Requirements:

Strategic Leadership & Growth

• AUM Expansion: Drive the aggressive growth of Assets Under Management to reach the ₦100 billion target through strategic sales and marketing initiatives.

• Business Development: Lead the business development, treasury sales, and wealth management teams to capture market share across institutional, retail, and public sectors.

• Market Penetration: Identify nationwide growth opportunities and oversee the marketing of financial products to Corporates, HNIs, UHNIs, and Counterparties.

Client & Portfolio Management

• Relationship Excellence: Build and maintain high-level relationships with key stakeholders and deliver tailored investment solutions that align with client financial objectives.

• Deposit Mobilization: Execute robust strategies for deposit mobilization, ensuring a steady and diversified inflow of assets.

• Investment Strategy: Support the broader organizational strategy and product development teams to ensure our financial offerings remain competitive and innovative.

Performance & Reporting

• Operational Oversight: Lead the performance reporting process, ensuring transparency and accuracy in how assets are managed and reported to stakeholders.

• Leadership: Provide mentorship and direction to the asset management team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and result-driven performance.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in any Finance-related discipline (Accounting, Economics, Finance, or Business Administration).

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a heavy emphasis on Asset Management.

  • Proven history of managing large-scale portfolios and achieving ambitious AUM targets.

• Technical Skills:

  • Deep understanding of investment banking, wealth management, and treasury sales.

  • Knowledge of the Nigerian regulatory environment for asset management.

• Core Competencies:

  • Visionary Leadership: The ability to inspire a team to meet high-stakes financial goals.

  • Strategic Network: An existing network of institutional and high-net-worth contacts is highly desirable.
