Job Description:
Lending Strategy & Leadership: Define and execute the bank’s lending roadmap in alignment with CBN microfinance guidelines. Lead expansion across digital channels, agent networks, and ecosystem integrations.
Portfolio Growth: Drive monthly disbursement targets for Micro, SME, and Retail segments while maintaining a high-quality pipeline.
End-to-End Loan Operations: Oversee the full credit lifecycle—from origination and underwriting to disbursement and closure—ensuring maximum operational efficiency.
Risk & Compliance: Partner with Risk and Compliance teams to implement fraud prevention and early warning systems. Maintain a zero-tolerance policy for documentation gaps.
Collections & Remedial Oversight: Provide strategic direction for collections and delinquency management to maintain low PAR (Portfolio at Risk) and NPL (Non-Performing Loan) levels.
Stakeholder Management: Deliver monthly and quarterly performance reports to the Board and collaborate across the Sabi/Katsu ecosystem to drive supply-chain lending initiatives.
Lending Framework & Lifecycle
The Head of Loans oversees the integration of sales, risk, and recovery to ensure a balanced and profitable loan book.
Requirements:
Strategic business development and pipeline management.
High-level analytical skills for portfolio monitoring and trend adjustment.
Ability to foster a culture of accountability and "customer-first" execution.
Leadership: Proven track record of managing large teams across Credit Sales, Field Agents, and Operations.
Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of loan performance metrics (PAR, NPL, roll rates) and credit underwriting rules.
Niche Knowledge: Experience in Commodity-linked or Supply-Chain lending is highly preferred.
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong command of Nigerian financial regulations and operational frameworks.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Experience: 8–12+ years in Lending, Credit Operations, or Loan Management, with significant experience in the Microfinance or Digital Lending sectors.
