Job Description:

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Provide financial insights to guide strategic business decisions.
• Develop financial models to support product pricing, new business lines, and cost optimization.
• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accuracy of financial records in compliance with IFRS and regulatory standards.
• Review and sign off all management accounts, statutory filings, and reconciliations.
• Manage company liquidity, cashflow planning, and treasury operations.
• Oversee float management for agency banking, wallet operations, and settlement accounts.
• Maintain relationships with banking partners, switches, payment processors, and investors.
• Monitor revenue streams across transactions, commissions, interest income, and service charges.
• Implement revenue assurance processes to eliminate leakages and inefficiencies.
• Track operating expenses and drive cost optimization initiatives.
• Ensure timely filing of statutory obligations (taxes, VAT, PAYE, WHT, NSITF, ITF, pension, etc.).
• Coordinate internal and external audits, addressing issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with CBN regulations, fintech licensing requirements, and financial reporting standards.
• Strengthen internal controls across finance, operations, treasury, and reconciliation processes.
• Monitor financial risks, fraud exposure, and transaction-based vulnerabilities.
• Develop frameworks for financial governance and approval limits.
• Work closely with Operations, Compliance, Product, and Technology teams to support business growth.
• Provide financial guidance for product development, pricing, market expansion, and partnerships.
• Support investor relations and fundraising activities.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team.
• Establish and enforce SOPs for finance operations.
• Build a culture of accuracy, integrity, and accountability.

Requirements:

• Experience working in fintech, banking, agency banking, payments, or digital lending.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax laws, financial reporting, treasury management, and financial compliance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with financial software, ERPs, and reporting tools

Qualifications and Skills:

• B.Sc. / HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• MBA or M.Sc in Finance is an added advantage.
• Professional certification required: ICAN, ACCA (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 10 – 15 years relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a senior finance leadership role.
