Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned, strategic, and execution-oriented Head, HR Operations to lead our day-to-day employee experience and HR infrastructure. You will be the steward of our organizational culture and the enforcer of our operational integrity. This is a senior-level mandate for a leader who can navigate complex industrial relations, ensure rigorous regulatory compliance (including NDPR and ISO standards), and optimize HR service delivery across multiple business units. Requirements:
HR Operations & Policy Governance: Oversee the implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency across all divisions. Act as the primary advisor to HR Business Partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
Industrial & Employee Relations: Lead the management of grievances, disputes, and disciplinary cases with transparency and fairness. Build and maintain robust relationships with unions and stakeholders.
HRIS & Data Integrity: Own the accuracy of employee data. Conduct periodic audits to ensure HRIS integrity and compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).
Lifecycle & Welfare Management: Manage the full employee lifecycle (from onboarding to offboarding) and oversee employee wellness/HMO programs to ensure a healthy, engaged workforce.
Budgeting & Planning: Develop and execute annual HR Operations work plans and manage the department’s budgetary inputs.
Compliance & QHSE: Integrate ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 standards into HR operations. Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) to mitigate operational risks.
Leadership: Mentor and manage direct reports, setting high standards for performance, ethics, and professional development.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Humanities, or a related discipline.
Professional Certification: Professional HR Certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI) is required.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial HR Operations or HR Generalist leadership role. Experience in the power, energy, or industrial sector is highly preferred.
