Job Description:

We are seeking a high-performing Front Office Manager to lead our front desk operations and drive revenue through strategic room sales. This role is designed for a hospitality leader who excels in delivering a five-star guest experience while simultaneously penetrating the Lagos corporate market.

You will oversee a multi-departmental team, including Reception, Concierge, Reservations, and Night Audit ensuring seamless operations and personalized VIP treatment for a prestigious clientele of diplomats, CEOs, and expatriates.

Requirements:

Guest Experience & Departmental Supervision

• Operational Excellence: Supervise all front-facing departments including Reception, Concierge, Bell Desk, Switchboard, and Airport Transfers.

• VIP Management: Deliver personalized service for high-profile guests and repeat clients, maintaining a premium arrival and departure experience.

• Service Recovery: Manage guest complaints swiftly with professional solutions to ensure high satisfaction and brand loyalty.

Revenue Generation & Market Penetration

• Corporate Sales: Proactively drive room sales by penetrating key sectors such as Oil & Gas, Banking, Fintech, Telecoms, and Foreign Embassies.

• Upselling: Maximize revenue by upselling premium suites, airport transfers, early/late check-outs, and curated weekend packages.

• Occupancy Control: Optimize room allocation and allocation daily, managing long-stay guests and ensuring room readiness in coordination with Housekeeping.

Marketing & Digital Strategy

• Brand Visibility: Collaborate with the Sales team to promote staycations and seasonal offers (e.g., Christmas, Valentine, and Ileya packages).

• Reputation Management: Monitor Google reviews and social media feedback, encouraging satisfied guests to leave positive reviews to improve online rankings.

Financial & Compliance Management

• KPI Tracking: Focus on increasing Average Daily Rate (ADR), improving Occupancy %, and boosting Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR).

• Cost Control: Manage front office payroll, reduce OTA dependency, and eliminate billing errors.

• Security & Compliance: Enforce strict guest identification procedures, fraud prevention on card payments, and sensitive guest handling in line with local regulations (NDLEA/Police/Immigration).

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: BSc / HND in Hospitality, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 5+ years in hotel operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

  • Deep understanding of the Lagos hospitality market.

  • Proven exposure to room sales and corporate business development.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Property Management Systems such as Opera PMS, IDS, or Fidelio.

  • Strong background in revenue management and financial reporting.

• Core Competencies:

  • Leadership: Ability to lead diverse teams under high-pressure conditions.

  • Networking: Strong ability to build relationships with executive assistants and corporate travel bookers.

  • Appearance: Smart, professional appearance with exceptional communication skills.
