Job Description:

We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Fleet Cost Accountant to oversee the financial health of our fleet operations. In this role, you will be the backbone of our cost-management strategy, transforming raw data into actionable insights to optimize fuel usage, maintenance spend, and overall vehicle efficiency.

Requirements:

• Expense Management: Monitor and analyze fleet expenditures, including fuel, repairs, and ongoing maintenance costs.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare regular cost reports and provide management with clear insights into budget performance and cost-control opportunities.

• Efficiency Tracking: Analyze vehicle utilization data to identify operational bottlenecks and drive efficiency.

• Reconciliation: Maintain rigorous accuracy in fleet accounts, ensuring all financial records are up to date and compliant.

• Strategic Planning: Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process for all fleet-related activities.

• Process Improvement: Actively identify and implement cost-saving measures and workflow enhancements.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in cost accounting. Previous experience in fleet management or the logistics industry is a major advantage.

• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience with modern accounting software.

• Analytical Edge: Strong ability to spot trends, interpret financial data, and solve complex operational problems.

• Detail-Oriented: A highly structured approach to record-keeping and a commitment to precision.
