Job Description:
We are seeking a diligent, hands-on, and highly organized Junior Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our Ikeja branch. In this role, you will be the backbone of our financial record-keeping, ensuring that every transaction from bank receipts to inventory stock counts is tracked, verified, and reconciled with precision.

Requirements:
Financial Operations & Bookkeeping
Transaction Management: Post all bank receipts, payments, and online transactions accurately. Confirm bank receipts and issue cheques for outgoing payments.
Cash Flow & Budgeting: Manage cash flow for local purchases and order processing; monitor sales targets and budgets.
Monthly Reporting: Prepare comprehensive monthly financial reports and ensure timely reconciliation of supplier accounts (local and imports).
Tax & Compliance: Process VAT and related statutory payments; liaise with consultants regarding tax and accounting queries.
Inventory & Asset Control
Stock Management: Perform routine stock counts/verification and handle stock transfer journal entries.
Fixed Assets: Maintain and update the company’s fixed asset register.
Verification: Conduct routine cash counts and debtor circularization/verification to ensure accurate record-keeping.
Supervision & Administration
Team Leadership: Supervise the cashier and sales personnel to ensure proper financial postings and compliance with company procedures.
Admin Support: Assist the Store Manager with order processing and collaborate with HQ Branch Team leads on office and staff administration.
Payroll: Compute monthly salaries and oversee payments via bank portal or bank advice.
Relationship Management
Stakeholder Liaison: Manage professional relationships with all bank account officers and external consultants.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 2–3 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience.
Core Competencies:
Technical Accuracy: You are meticulous about data entry, reconciliations, and reporting.
Integrity: You understand the importance of financial confidentiality and maintain high ethical standards.
Communication: You can effectively manage relationships with banks, suppliers, and internal staff.
Leadership: You are comfortable providing oversight and guidance to junior team members (cashiers/sales).
Adaptability: You are willing to take on varied responsibilities, including administrative tasks, as assigned by the Chairman or Consultants.
