About Company:
Ultraviolet Microfinance Bank is a financial institution with its office located in Abuja, Nigeria
Job Description:
Ultraviolet MFB is seeking a results-driven Fixed Deposit Mobilization Officer to serve as a key driver of the bank’s liquidity. In the microfinance sector, the stability of our lending operations depends on our ability to secure and retain low-cost, high-volume deposits.
Your mission is to act as a sophisticated wealth advisor, identifying and converting high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), corporate entities, and SMEs into long-term deposit partners. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of deposit management—from aggressive market prospecting and interest rate negotiation to maturity monitoring and renewals. If you have a passion for financial sales and a "zero-churn" mindset, we invite you to help us build a resilient capital base.
Requirements:
1. Liability Acquisition & Market Penetration
Strategic Prospecting: Identify and penetrate new market segments, including trade associations, religious bodies, and corporate organizations, to diversify the deposit base.
Product Advocacy: Expertly market the bank’s fixed deposit products, providing clear guidance on interest rates, tenors, and capital preservation.
Target Excellence: Consistently meet or exceed aggressive monthly and quarterly mobilization quotas to ensure the bank's liquidity for lending.
2. Relationship Stewardship & Portfolio Retention
Account Governance: Maintain a high-touch relationship with existing depositors, acting as their primary point of contact for all financial inquiries.
Maturity Management: Monitor deposit maturity cycles with surgical precision, initiating early engagement to secure timely renewals and prevent capital flight.
Portfolio Deepening: Cross-sell ancillary banking products (e.g., current accounts, digital services) to embed the bank into the client's financial ecosystem.
3. Intelligence & Compliance
Market Monitoring: Conduct continuous competitor analysis to ensure the bank’s interest rates and terms remain attractive and competitive.
Reporting & Analytics: Provide management with detailed reports on mobilization trends, pipeline health, and market sentiment.
Regulatory Rigor: Ensure all deposits and client interactions comply with CBN Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Experience: Proven experience in deposit mobilization, marketing, or wealth management within the Microfinance or Commercial Banking sector.
Sales DNA: A documented history of hitting high-volume financial targets and managing high-value portfolios.
Communication: Exceptional persuasive and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage corporate boards and HNWIs comfortably.
Core Competencies
Financial IQ: Strong understanding of interest rate calculations, inflation impacts, and fixed-income products.
Organization: Superior time management and the ability to track multiple maturity dates simultaneously.
Ethics: Uncompromising commitment to professional integrity and regulatory compliance.
