Job Description:
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Assist in analyzing financial data and preparing variance analysis reports
- Prepare budget forecasts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual closing financial reports
- Reconcile accounts payables and receivables
- Ensure timely bank and payables payments
- Compute taxes, remit and document tax filings and corporate income tax returns.
- Accounts Payable: Process invoices, matching them with purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Accounts Receivable: monitor accounts receivable balances and following up on overdue payments.
- Analyse and Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
- Audit, Report and document all financial transactions and documents of the company
- Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Support in providing documentation and information for internal and external audits.
- Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals and accurate forecasting of costs and revenues.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive company financial information with discretion.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Prior Hands-on experience with accounting Software/ Packages like QuickBooks, sage pastel, and tally.
- Must be conversant with tax laws and filling returns
- Candidate must be Computer Literate with Advanced knowledge in MS Office or Google Sheets
- Must have a high level of integrity with ability to work with little or no supervision
- Excellent time management skill and ability to be proactive at all time.
- Experience with general ledgers and preparing end of financial year end Accounts
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Awareness of industry trends and applications.
- Must be willing to undergo background verification.
- Must reside in very close proximity to Lekki/Ajah.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience involving the application of the principles of finance and accounting project accounting, financial planning, budgeting preferably in a tech or finance company
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control, the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), IFRS, IPPIS portfolio management, etc.
- Membership/ Certification in a recognised professional accounting body (ICAN, ACA, ACCA, CFA, CIMA) is an added advantage.
