Job Description:

We are seeking a high-velocity and structurally elite Fiber Field Engineer (FSE) to anchor the transmission engine of our Ikeja operations. In a specialized telecommunications landscape where institutional momentum is dictated by the speed of the light and the precision of the splice success is defined by "Network Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize high-level technical troubleshooting with the clinical precision required for Site Surveys, Fiber Testing (OTDR/LSPM), and Construction Oversight. This role is designed for an "Infrastructure Architect", specifically a professional with an OND, HND, or Degree in Engineering who can blend "Physical Grit" (overseeing cabling installations) with the "Analytical Agility" required to execute Network Expansion Planning and Performance Documentation.

Requirements:

1. Orchestration & Planning Governance

• Sovereignty of the Site: Conduct comprehensive site surveys with millimetric focus, acting as the primary "Source of Deployment Intelligence."

• Planning Architecture: Design and validate fiber routing paths, providing the "Structural Foundation" for scalable network expansion.

• Integrity Stewardship: Ensure all field crews adhere to engineering standards, ensuring the "Source of Physical Infrastructure" is elite and uncompromised.

2. Tactical Resilience & Testing Logic

• Spectral Sovereignty: Perform high-fidelity testing (Insertion Loss, Return Loss, OTDR analysis), acting as the primary "Source of Signal Integrity."

• Construction Architecture: Oversee the physical laying, blowing, and termination of fiber cabling, providing the "Functional Foundation" for robust transmission.

• Maintenance Stewardship: Execute proactive and reactive maintenance to de-risk network downtime, maintaining the "Source of Service Continuity."

3. Operational Integrity & Reporting Power

• Data Sovereignty: Maintain accurate "As-Built" records and fiber map documentations, acting as the primary "Source of Network Visibility."

• Performance Architecture: Prepare high-fidelity quality assurance reports for engineering management, providing the "Relational Foundation" for performance tracking.

• Velocity Logic: Utilize proven engineering expertise to accelerate the "Survey-to-Live" cycle, maximizing the "Source of Bandwidth Throughput."

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

• Technical Power: Proficiency in Fiber Optic Testing (OTDR, Power Meter) and splicing techniques.

• Management Power: Proven ability to manage field crews and third-party contractors effectively.

• Location: Must be based in or able to operate from Ikeja, Lagos.
