Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Engineering Manager to lead our technical operations in a fast-paced pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will be the backbone of our production stability, responsible for ensuring that our equipment, utilities, and processes meet the highest standards of reliability and regulatory excellence. If you are a proactive leader with a deep understanding of GMP environments and a passion for engineering optimization, this is a pivotal role in our facility.
Requirements:
Technical Operations: Manage all engineering and maintenance activities across production lines and critical utility systems, including HVAC, water treatment systems, and compressed air.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety protocols, and all relevant regulatory requirements.
Maintenance Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize operational uptime and minimize costly production downtime.
Capital Projects: Oversee the installation, commissioning, and validation of new manufacturing equipment and systems.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with Production, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure seamless manufacturing operations.
Problem-Solving: Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and process bottlenecks.
Resource Management: Develop and manage engineering budgets, allocate resources effectively, and mentor the engineering team to foster high productivity and technical growth.
Documentation: Maintain rigorous documentation standards, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintenance logs, and equipment validation reports.
Continuous Improvement: Spearhead initiatives focused on process enhancement, safety, and product quality.
Qualifications and Skills:
Industry Experience: Proven track record in an engineering leadership role within a pharmaceutical manufacturing or highly regulated processing environment.
Utility Expertise: Demonstrated experience with critical utilities (HVAC, Purified Water systems, Steam, Air Compressors).
GMP Knowledge: Strong understanding of GMP, GLP, and pharmaceutical regulatory environments.
Technical Skills: * Ability to manage full equipment life cycles (procurement to validation).
Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
Strong capability in budgeting and cost-control management.
Soft Skills:
Excellent team leadership and mentorship abilities.
Strong communication skills to liaise with Quality Assurance and Production teams.
High level of detail orientation regarding documentation and audit readiness.
