Job Description:

Are you ready to build the physical backbone of the internet? We are seeking highly motivated, disciplined, and tech-driven individuals to join our team as Fiber Engineers. This technical role is perfect for students and corps members who want to gain field experience in fiber optics, network infrastructure, and ISP operations.

We offer a structured environment where you will move beyond classroom theory. You will work alongside experienced engineers to install, test, and maintain the high-speed fiber networks that keep our world connected.

Requirements:

• Fiber Installation: Assist in the deployment of fiber optic cables (aerial, underground, or building interior).

• Fusion Splicing: Learn the precision art of fiber splicing to ensure high-quality connectivity.

• Network Testing: Utilize tools such as OTDRs and power meters to test fiber integrity, signal loss, and connectivity.

• Troubleshooting: Support the identification and repair of fiber cuts, signal degradation, and link failures in the field.

• Infrastructure Maintenance: Participate in site surveys, pole climbing (where applicable and safe), and general maintenance of ISP fiber network infrastructure.

• Technical Support: Work closely with the core engineering team to ensure high service availability for our clients.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Students: OND and HND students currently requiring Industrial Training (IT) or internship placement.

• SIWES Applicants: Students in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields needing to fulfill mandatory program requirements.

• NYSC Corps Members: Graduates seeking a technical Primary Place of Assignment (PPA) in Lagos or Abuja.

• Fiber Enthusiasts: Anyone with a genuine, demonstrable interest in pursuing a career in fiber optics, telecommunications, or network engineering.
