Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber Farm Manager to serve as the chief architect of our agricultural output. This is a comprehensive leadership role designed for a professional who combines "dirt-under-the-fingernails" experience with sophisticated strategic planning and financial oversight.
Your mission is to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the farm, from soil preparation and crop/livestock management to harvest and market delivery. You will be responsible for integrating modern Agricultural Technology, supervising a diverse labor force, and ensuring that every hectare of land reaches its peak economic potential. If you are a decision-maker who thrives under the pressure of seasonal deadlines and has a rigorous scientific approach to farming, we want you to lead our operations.
Requirements:
1. Strategic Planning & Technical Oversight
Crop & Resource Management: Design and implement seasonal planting/breeding schedules, irrigation plans, and pest management strategies to maximize yield.
Technology & Machinery Governance: Oversee the selection, maintenance, and optimal usage of specialized agricultural machinery and AgTech tools to improve operational efficiency.
Agricultural Science Research: Maintain professional networks and stay abreast of the latest developments in agronomy and animal science to implement best-in-class farming techniques.
2. Financial Stewardship & Project Governance
Budgetary Control: Manage the farm’s P&L, including the procurement of inputs (seeds, fertilizers, feed) and the management of labor costs and capital expenditures.
Supply Chain & Market Alignment: Coordinate timelines to ensure harvests meet market demands and manage the logistics of getting produce from the farm gate to the consumer.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all farming activities comply with environmental, safety, and health regulations.
3. Human Capital & Field Leadership
Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing farm team, fostering a culture of accountability and safety in an outdoor environment.
Crisis Decision-Making: Display the grit and critical thinking required to make high-stakes decisions during weather emergencies, equipment failures, or livestock health crises.
