Ajisafe Farms & Games Resort, a Farm and Resort Company located in Oyo, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

• We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Farm Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our farm in Oyo State.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing farm production, supervising workers, ensuring efficient use of resources, and implementing best agricultural practices to maximize productivity and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise all farm operations including crop and/or livestock production.
• Manage farm staff: recruitment, supervision, task allocation, and performance monitoring.
• Develop and implement planting, harvesting, breeding, and feeding schedules.
• Monitor soil health, crop growth, animal welfare, and overall farm conditions.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of farm equipment and machinery.
• Implement pest, disease, and weed control measures using safe and approved methods.
• Maintain accurate farm records (production, inputs, inventory, expenses, and yields).
• Manage farm budgets, control costs, and optimize resource utilization.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and biosecurity standards.
• Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and relevant agricultural extension services.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity through modern farming techniques and technology.
• Prepare periodic operational and performance reports for management.

Requirements:

• Must be willing to reside on or near the farm in Oyo, Oyo State.
• Good understanding of local farming conditions and seasons.
• Integrity, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Candidates should possess an OND/HND/B.Sc. in Agriculture, Agronomy, Animal Science, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3–5 years proven experience as a Farm Manager, Farm Supervisor, or similar role.
• Hands-on experience managing farm operations in Nigeria, preferably in the South-West region.
• Experience with commercial-scale farming will be an added advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies 

• Strong knowledge of modern farming practices (crop, livestock, or mixed farming).
• Practical understanding of irrigation systems, fertilizers, pesticides, and farm inputs.
• Ability to manage and motivate farm workers effectively.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Basic financial and budgeting skills.
• Ability to keep accurate records and prepare simple reports.
• Physically fit and willing to work in a rural farm environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer literacy is an added advantage.
