We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

• The Expense Officer will be responsible for managing, verifying, processing, and reporting company expenses, ensuring compliance with company policy and financial discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify all employee and departmental expense claims for accuracy and compliance.
• Process expense reimbursements within agreed timelines and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain and reconcile petty cash records and ensure appropriate disbursement.
• Monitor departmental spending against budgets and report variances.
• Ensure strict adherence to company expense policies, financial procedures, and approval workflows.
• Conduct periodic audits of expense reports to identify errors, fraud, or policy violations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual expense reports for management review.
• Liaise with employees and department heads to resolve queries related to expense submissions.
• Support Finance Team with cost-saving initiatives through expense analysis and recommendations.
• Maintain electronic and physical filing of expense documents for audit and compliance.
• Work closely with HR, Procurement, and Operations to align expenses with business priorities.
• Assist during internal and external audits by providing required expense records and justification.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in the expense management processes and systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Professional certifications (an added advantage)

Work Experience:

• 1–2 years of experience in a finance/accounts role, preferably handling expenses, payables, or audits.
• Experience in FMCG, retail, or fast-paced consumer industry is a strong advantage.
• Experience working with ERP systems or digital expense tools is preferred.
