Job Description:

We are seeking a high-energy, result-oriented Banking Officer to join our team in Abuja. This role is the frontline of our financial growth, focusing on Deposit Mobilization and the expansion of our client base. You will be responsible for identifying high-net-worth individuals, corporate entities, and retail savers to build a robust deposit portfolio.

This is a proactive, on-site role that requires a "client-first" mindset. You will not only be selling banking products but also acting as a trusted financial advisor, helping clients navigate their banking needs while ensuring the bank meets its liquidity and growth objectives.

Requirements:

1. Deposit Mobilization & Market Penetration

• Portfolio Growth: Aggressively drive the mobilization of low-cost deposits through the acquisition of new accounts and the retention of existing ones.

• Banking Solutions: Promote a comprehensive suite of banking products (Savings, Current, Fixed Deposits) tailored to the specific needs of the Abuja market.

• Loan Support: Identify and refer qualified candidates for bank loan processes, supporting the credit cycle while maintaining a balanced deposit-to-loan ratio.

2. Relationship Management & Customer Experience

• Client Advisory: Build and maintain high-trust relationships with clients, conducting daily interactions to provide personalized banking solutions.

• Service Excellence: Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring a seamless and professional service experience that encourages long-term loyalty.

• Retention Strategy: Implement proactive engagement strategies to minimize account dormancy and ensure consistent deposit inflows.

3. Financial Analysis & Compliance

• Transaction Oversight: Analyze and manage financial transactions effectively to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal banking policies.

• Target Accountability: Work toward clearly defined monthly and quarterly financial targets, providing regular reports on portfolio performance.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of Central Bank regulations and "Know Your Customer" (KYC) requirements to ensure ethical deposit sourcing.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience: Prior experience in banking, microfinance, or the financial services sector is an advantage but not mandatory for high-potential candidates.

• Marketing Skills: Natural ability to persuade, negotiate, and close deals in a competitive environment.
