Job Description:

  • Support the installation, wiring, and testing of solar PV systems, battery storage units, and hybrid (solar/diesel/grid) energy systems.
  • Assist in assembling and commissioning control panels, inverters, and metering systems.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and performance testing of renewable energy installations.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical and control system faults.
  • Install and calibrate sensors, meters, and smart building devices (lighting, HVAC, and energy management systems).
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams (SLDs).
  • Ensure all site work adheres to quality control and HSE standards.
  • Maintain detailed field reports, installation checklists, and maintenance records.
  • Coordinate with engineers and software teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Provide technical support during client demonstrations and performance testing.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical installations, solar PV wiring, and battery storage systems.
  • Proficient in the use of testing and measuring instruments (multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of BEMS, HVAC controls, or smart metering systems is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with hybrid energy systems (solar/diesel/grid) and load management principles.
  • Proven fault diagnosis and repair capability for electrical circuits and control systems.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and accurate documentation.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
  • Exposure to oil and gas, electrical, or industrial projects is an added advantage.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in renewable energy, power systems, or industrial electrical maintenance.
  • Certifications in solar PV installation, NEMSA, or renewable energy systems will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality electrical work with minimal supervision.
