Job Description:

We are currently scaling our operations in Kano and are seeking a skilled, passionate Electrical Engineer to help lead our technical infrastructure. If you are a seasoned professional with deep expertise in power plant Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and are looking to take your career to the next level within a dynamic, growing organization, we want to hear from you. This is a high-impact role where your technical expertise will be vital to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our power generation assets.

Requirements:

• O&M Oversight: Manage and optimize the electrical maintenance strategy for plant assets, ensuring peak performance and operational longevity.

• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults in switchgear, generators, transformers, and control systems to minimize downtime.

• Preventive Maintenance: Lead scheduled maintenance programs to ensure all electrical infrastructure operates safely and complies with industry standards.

• Safety & Compliance: Enforce rigorous safety protocols and operational standards to maintain a hazard-free work environment for the team.

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve plant efficiency and reduce operational costs through technical innovation.

• Technical Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment health logs, and technical performance metrics.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: A relevant degree or qualification in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Operations & Maintenance (O&M) within a power plant environment is mandatory.

• Technical Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of power generation equipment, high-voltage systems, and electrical troubleshooting.

• Mindset: A proactive, results-oriented approach with a strong commitment to learning and tackling complex technical challenges.

• Location: Candidates must be based in or able to work on-site in Kano.
