About Company:
Representing upstream in exploration, offshore and onshore production, as well as downstream in refining and petrochemicals, SPIE Oil & Gas Services is dedicated to addressing the emerging human, technological and environmental challenges involved in maintaining and operating new oil and gas fields.
Job Description:
SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is seeking a high-caliber ECP Project Leader to orchestrate critical infrastructure and Small Modification Requests (SMR) from handover to successful close-out. In this role, you will take technical and financial ownership of projects with budgets of up to $20M, ensuring they are delivered with precision in one of the world's most demanding operational environments.
You will serve as the primary engine for project execution, bridging the gap between FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and Site Integration. We are looking for a leader who combines technical rigor with high HSE consciousness—someone who can manage multidisciplinary teams and contractors to deliver brownfield or greenfield excellence under pressure.
Requirements:
1. End-to-End Project Orchestration
Lifecycle Management: Lead ECP projects through the full lifecycle: basic/FEED, detailed engineering, fabrication, testing, and transfer to Field Operations (FO).
Budget & Schedule Governance: Direct handle on budgets up to $20M, utilizing standard project control methods and KPIs to ensure fiscal and temporal discipline.
SIMOPS Leadership: Oversee Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) to ensure construction and integration works do not compromise ongoing production or safety.
2. Interface & Stakeholder Management
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the central node between FO, Maintenance, C&P, and Logistics to consolidate Scope of Work (SOW) and contracting strategies.
Contractual Stewardship: Oversee the execution of contracting strategies, managing technical clarifications and negotiations with selected contractors and sub-suppliers.
Audit & Compliance: Implementation of Company general specifications and industry best practices, ensuring contractors strictly adhere to project technical and quality requirements.
3. HSE Excellence & Risk Mitigation
Safety Leadership: Ensure uncompromised observance of Company HSE policy and procedures at every project stage, from the fabrication yard to the site.
Recovery Planning: Proactively identify technical, commercial, or scheduling bottlenecks and develop robust recovery plans to maintain project momentum.
Quality & Reporting: Maintain accurate project records and filing systems while preparing timely approval dossiers for senior management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Qualifications
Education: University degree in a recognized Engineering discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in industrial facilities project management, with specific exposure to Brownfield or Greenfield projects in an international setting.
Technical Proficiency: Mastery of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and standard project control tools.
Core Competencies
Tactical Rigor: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously under high-pressure conditions.
Communication Mastery: Fluent in English with the ability to lead high-stakes weekly/monthly contractor meetings and variation order negotiations.
Team Leadership: Proven ability to direct multidisciplinary project teams to reach their maximum potential.
