Job Description:

• Are you a current NYSC member or Just Finished NYSC looking to bypass the entry-level corporate grind and step straight into executive leadership?
• We are seeking an ambitious, high-energy Volunteer COO to partner directly with the founder and mastermind our launch operations.
• This is not a standard  internship.
• This is a high-stakes, fast-paced executive role where you will design our delivery framework, manage dispatch logistics, and scale daily operations from zero to thousands of deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Blueprinting: Design, optimize, and oversee day-to-day dispatch, route tracking, and final-mile fulfillment logistics.
• Network Coordination: Onboard, manage, and maintain relationships with dispatch riders, third-party logistics (3PL) partners, and corporate clients.
• Performance Metrics: Define, track, and report on key operational metrics such as Delivery Lead Time, Cost-per-Delivery, and Fulfillment Rates.
• Strategic Growth: Work hand-in-hand with the founder to execute aggressive operational growth strategies over the next few months.
• Risk & Crisis Management: Act as the primary escalation point for operational bottlenecks, delivery disputes, and system delays, implementing immediate fixes.
• Team Building: Recruit, train, and manage future operational volunteers and field agents as the platform scales.

Requirements:

• NYSC Status: Must be a current serving corp member looking for a career-defining Primary Assignment (PPA) or side project.
• Academic Background: B.Sc. or HND in Economics, Business Administration, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, or a highly analytical equivalent.

Technical & Core Skills

• Logistics Acumen: Strong conceptual understanding of final-mile delivery networks, routing logistics, and the Nigerian transport landscape.
• Data & Analytics: Proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel to model operational capacity, track performance, and analyze data.
• Tech-Savvy: Quick to learn and adopt new logistics software, dispatch dashboards, and digital communication tools.
• Project Management: Ability to handle multiple moving parts simultaneously without losing grip on delivery timelines.

Behavioral & Leadership Traits

• Hyper-Execution Mindset: You do not just plan; you execute quickly and iterate based on real-world results.
• Crisis Resilience: Calm under pressure; you view operational hiccups (e.g., rider delays, traffic bottlenecks) as puzzles to solve.

• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills needed to command respect from dispatch riders and negotiate with corporate partners.
