Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Officer with extensive experience in the manufacturing industry to steer our financial operations and long-term fiscal strategy. This role is designed for a strategic leader who can balance high-level financial planning with the granular realities of factory-floor economics. You will be responsible for capital structure, risk mitigation, and investor relations, while simultaneously deep-diving into COGS and supply chain finance to drive profitability. Requirements:

1. Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Growth Architecture: Partner with the CEO on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), new business ventures, and capital structure (debt vs. equity) to support expansion.

  • Long-Term Planning: Develop 5-to-10-year financial plans and set rigorous goals to ensure the company’s competitive positioning.

  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for investor relations and build high-trust relationships with external stakeholders.

2. Manufacturing-Specific Financial Control

  • COGS & Inventory: Perform deep-dive analyses into the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), inventory valuation, and supply chain finance to identify leaks and optimize margins.

  • CapEx Evaluation: Lead the financial appraisal of Capital Expenditure (CapEx) for new machinery, facility upgrades, and technological integrations.

  • Operational Drive: Use real-time financial data to recommend operational improvements on the factory floor, focusing on waste reduction and throughput efficiency.

3. Fiscal Operations & Risk Management

  • Core Finance: Oversee all accounting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring cash flow is optimized for both stability and growth.

  • Compliance & Tax: Ensure 100% accuracy in financial statements and manage complex tax documentation in line with national regulatory standards.

  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and assess financial risks (market, credit, liquidity) and implement robust internal controls to protect organizational assets.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Professional Tenure

  • Academic Background: BSc/HND in Accounting (Professional certifications like ICAN, ACCA, or an MBA are highly desirable).

  • Deep Experience: Minimum of 15 years of cognate experience strictly within the manufacturing industry.

  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrable success in managing large-scale budgets and navigating manufacturing supply chain complexities.

Core Competencies

  • Advanced FP&A: Expert-level proficiency in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) with the ability to model complex scenarios.

  • Tech-Savvy: Mastery of advanced Excel and specialized financial/ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).

  • Strategic Communication: Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.

  • Regulatory Mastery: Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing-specific tax laws and financial compliance requirements.
