Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Cashier to lead the financial transactions and cash management operations within our warehouse facility in Ogba. In this role, you will be more than a point-of-sale operator; you will be the final checkpoint for revenue and inventory reconciliation.

The ideal candidate possesses an Accounting degree and significant experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. You must be comfortable with high-volume cash handling and possess the technical skills to manage digital records. Due to the operational nature of this role, we are specifically seeking female applicants who reside within the Ikeja/Ogba axis for ease of commute.

Requirements:

1. Financial Transaction Management

  • Point-of-Sale Excellence: Process all warehouse transactions accurately, ensuring that every exit of goods is matched by a corresponding and verified payment.

  • Payment Verification: Handle various payment methods (Cash, POS, Transfers), ensuring immediate verification and zero discrepancies.

  • Dispute Resolution: Resolve customer transaction queries on the spot, maintaining a high standard of professional service.

2. Rigorous Cash & Record Governance

  • Daily Reconciliation: Perform comprehensive "End-of-Day" balancing, ensuring physical cash matches the digital sales records.

  • Audit Readiness: Maintain a clean trail of receipts, invoices, and payment confirmations for weekly and monthly financial audits.

  • Currency Security: Oversee the secure storage and handling of cash on-site before bank lodgment or transfer to management.

3. Operational & Warehouse Support

  • Software Proficiency: Use basic business and accounting software to log transactions and monitor stock-related financial data.

  • Cross-functional Synergy: Collaborate with warehouse floor staff to ensure that "Goods Issued" notes align perfectly with the "Payments Received."

  • Shift Discipline: Maintain consistent availability across the standard 8 am – 6 pm shift, including Saturdays and public holidays.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

  • Experience: 3 – 5 years of experience working specifically in a warehouse or large-scale retail setting.

  • Gender: Female (per business requirements).

  • Technical IQ: Proficiency in basic computer software (MS Excel/Word) and business management tools.

Location & Shift Requirements

  • Residency: Must reside within Ogba, Ikeja, Ojodu, Agege, Ojota, Ogudu, or Ketu.

  • Schedule: Mondays – Saturdays & Public Holidays (8:00 am – 6:00 pm).

Salary

N75,000 - N80,000 / month.
