Job Description:
We are seeking a high-stakes Business Development Manager to spearhead our expansion across South West Nigeria. This is a critical leadership role for a "market hunter" who can navigate the complexities of the Nigerian healthcare ecosystem—from corporate boardrooms to hospital administrations. You will be the strategic face of our organization, responsible for converting high-value prospects into long-term partners and ensuring our health plans are the gold standard for corporate and institutional clients. If you have a deep mastery of NHIA regulations and a proven track record of smashing revenue targets in the HMO space, we want you to own our growth engine.
Requirements:
1. Market Expansion & Institutional Acquisition
Strategic Growth: Develop and execute localized "winning" strategies to secure large-scale accounts in corporate, institutional, and high-net-worth segments.
Network Integration: Identify and win new accounts by positioning our unique value propositions against traditional competitors in the South West market.
Pipeline Governance: Manage a robust sales funnel, from lead generation to final contract execution, ensuring a consistent flow of new business.
2. Strategic Partnership Ecosystems
Provider Relations: Establish and nurture dominant relationships with hospitals, clinics, and medical specialists to enhance our provider network and service reach.
Corporate Diplomacy: Serve as the primary liaison for corporate HR and Procurement heads, ensuring our brand is synonymous with trust and reliability.
Value-Based Solutions: Collaborate with internal actuarial and product teams to customize health plans that balance client affordability with company profitability.
3. Revenue Performance & Insights
Target Achievement: Consistently hit and surpass monthly/quarterly revenue and GMV targets through aggressive client acquisition and retention.
Market Intelligence: Provide management with data-driven insights on competitor moves, pricing shifts, and emerging healthcare trends in the South West.
Client Retention: Drive high satisfaction rates by ensuring that "the promise sold is the service delivered," fostering long-term account loyalty.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Pedigree
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Economics (Master’s/MBA is a significant advantage).
Experience: 5–7 years of hard-won experience in sales or business development specifically within a top-tier HMO or health insurance organization.
Regulatory Mastery: Deep, working knowledge of the Nigerian Healthcare Insurance landscape and NHIA regulations.
