Job Description:
1. Brand Stewardship & Strategy Execution
Brand Quality Control: Act as the day-to-day gatekeeper for all internal and external materials, ensuring every asset meets TEF’s visual, tonal, and narrative standards.
Strategic Alignment: Support the execution of the Foundation’s long-term brand strategy across diverse communication channels and multi-country programmes.
Internal Advocacy: Lead initiatives to ensure all staff and stakeholders understand and embody the TEF brand values.
2. Impact-Driven Storytelling & Content
Campaign Development: Support the creation of brand-led campaigns that showcase the journeys of our 20,000+ entrepreneurs and partners.
Narrative Consistency: Collaborate with the communications team to produce high-quality stories that highlight TEF’s unique "Africapitalism" philosophy.
Multimedia Coordination: Liaise with creative agencies, photographers, and videographers to deliver high-quality assets that reflect the scale of our impact.
3. Digital Monitoring & Reputation Management
Media Sentiment: Monitor social conversations and media coverage to ensure the Foundation’s reputation remains strong and its voice remains influential.
Partner Alignment: Work with external partners (corporates, NGOs, and governments) to ensure the TEF brand is used correctly in joint initiatives.
Trend Analysis: Stay updated on global trends in philanthropy and development communications to keep the TEF brand modern and relevant.
4. Metrics & Performance Reporting
KPI Tracking: Monitor brand performance metrics (reach, sentiment, and recognition) and prepare regular reports for leadership.
Market Insights: Support research initiatives to strengthen the Foundation’s visibility across the continent and beyond.
Requirements:
Purpose-Driven Branding: A deep understanding of how to build a brand that is focused on social impact and development.
Communication Mastery: Exceptional writing and editing skills with a "global-standard" command of the English language.
Technical Savvy: Strong understanding of digital ecosystems, social media platforms, and creative production workflows.
Stakeholder Management: Ability to coordinate between internal units and external vendors with high professionalism.
Qualifications and Skills:
Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Mass Communication, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in brand management or marketing communications.
Sector Background: Experience working within an NGO, foundation, development organization, or a top-tier creative agency is highly preferred.
