Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and structurally elite Baker / Cake Decorator to anchor the production engine of our confectionery operations in Abuja. In a specialized culinary landscape where institutional momentum is dictated by the crumb texture and the precision of the fondant finish success is defined by "Confectionery Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize high-volume baking with the clinical precision required for Buffet Dessert Production, Buttercream Artistry, and Recipe Standardization. This role is designed for a "Culinary Architect" with a Vocational, NCE, or OND qualification and 2–7 years of experience who can blend "Technical Grit" (monitoring baking temperatures and mixing ratios) with the "Artistic Agility" required to design intricate cakes using fondant and icing.
Requirements:
1. Orchestration & Production Governance
Baking Sovereignty: Prepare and bake cakes, pastries, and breads according to standard recipes, acting as the primary "Source of Culinary Reliability."
Consistency Architecture: Measure and mix ingredients with millimetric focus to ensure quality, providing the "Structural Foundation" for a uniform customer experience.
Integrity Stewardship: Monitor baking times and temperatures precisely, ensuring the "Source of Product Perfection" is elite and uncompromised.
2. Tactical Resilience & Aesthetic Logic
Decoration Sovereignty: Design and decorate cakes using buttercream, fondant, and icing, acting as the primary "Source of Brand Visual Appeal."
Scheduling Architecture: Produce buffet desserts (cupcakes, pastries, small chops) on a strict timeline, providing the "Functional Foundation" for event-based hospitality success.
Freshness Stewardship: Ensure proper storage and rotation of baked goods, maintaining the "Source of Food Safety and Quality."
3. Operational Integrity & Technical Power
Artistry Sovereignty: Utilize advanced icing and topping techniques to meet custom client requests, acting as the primary "Source of Creative Solutions."
Storage Architecture: Manage raw material inventory and baked good preservation, providing the "Relational Foundation" for waste reduction and cost efficiency.
Velocity Logic: Utilize 2–7 years of confectionery expertise to resolve production abnormalities in real-time, maximizing the "Source of Kitchen Throughput" in Abuja.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: NCE, OND, or Vocational Training in Catering/Confectionery.
Experience: 2 – 7 years of hands-on experience in a professional bakery or hotel kitchen.
Technical Power: Mastery of fondant work, buttercream piping, and small chops dessert production.
Artistic Mastery: Strong creative ability in cake design and toppings.
