Job Description:
- Execute inorganic growth plans (M&A, partnerships, etc) of FirstBank Group
- Ensure all Group investments are properly valued and reported
- Prepare capital plan & reports, including ICAAP, for the Group and support implementation of same
- Support preparation of Bank’s Recovery and Resolution Plan
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and frameworks, including Group Capital Management Framework, investment management framework, capital hedging framework, etc
- Execute capital raising, including Tier I and Tier II, for the bank and its subsidiaries
- Support capital allocation across the Group to ensure shareholder value is optimized.
- Manage the Bank’s portfolio of investments to optimize returns
- Ensure relevant policies and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are up to date and reviewed as and when due
- Ensure adherence to SLAs and agreements with vendors
- Prepare Request for Proposals (RFPs) for Advisors for Corporate Finance transactions
- Work with relevant stakeholders to prepare transaction documents, including Term Sheets, Information memoranda, Valuation Analysis, etc and coordinate the delivery of same
- Facilitate the Bank’s credit rating process to achieve set target credit rating
- Coordinate all relevant management, board and regulatory approvals for capital raising corporate finance decisions and investments of the FirstBank Group.
- Project manage corporate finance activities, including tracking post transaction value accretion.
- Provide insight on the financial performance of potential targets and expected value accretion from transactions.
- Prepare reports and presentation to engage the Management Committee (MANCO) and Board of Directors on potential targets and transaction opportunities.
- Carry out any assigned roles as mandated by the HOD or HOU
Requirements:
- Good first Degree, preferably in numerate discipline
- Preference for postgraduate degree or other professional qualification (CFA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, CMA)
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in corporate finance, investment banking and capital management in Financial Services or related industry.
