Job Description:

  • We’re looking to hire an experienced and results-driven Area Sales Manager to lead sales operations and drive market expansion across Lagos.
  • If you have a strong background in FMCG sales, distributor management, and market expansion, this opportunity might be for you.
  • The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales performance, expanding market presence, and managing distributor and channel relationships within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow sales of the company’s products across assigned territories.
  • Achieve sales targets and performance goals.
  • Establish, maintain, and expand the customer base including distributors, sub-dealers, and wholesalers.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase market penetration.
  • Monitor, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Conduct regular market visits to evaluate performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to support business decisions.
  • Build strong partnerships with key distributors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and product developments.
  • Prepare and submit periodic sales performance reports.

Requirements:

  • HND or BSc in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 4–7 years’ experience in FMCG sales and marketing
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills
  • Experience in sales planning, team leadership, and performance management
  • Strong market knowledge and ability to gather and analyze customer insights
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple distribution channels
  • Must be familiar with the Lagos market and willing to travel within Lagos and surrounding areas.
