Job Description:
Lily College of Nursing Sciences is seeking a dedicated and proactive NYSC Corps Member to join our administrative team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the management of a specialized academic institution, working at the intersection of healthcare education and professional administration.
As an Admin Officer, you will be the "operational engine" of the office, supporting day-to-day coordination, academic documentation, and institutional activities. We are looking for a Corps Member who is organized, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a high-standard academic environment.
Requirements:
1. Institutional Documentation & Records
Record Management: Support the college in maintaining a "gold-standard" filing system for both student academic records and staff documentation.
Clerical Excellence: Assist with data entry and the digital archiving of essential college documents to ensure easy retrieval and audit readiness.
Accuracy & Confidentiality: Handle sensitive academic information with a high level of discretion and attention to detail.
2. Communication & Office Coordination
Correspondence Management: Help draft, sort, and distribute internal memos, official letters, and emails to stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Meeting Support: Assist in organizing board meetings and inspections, including preparing agendas, setting up venues, and taking minutes.
Reception & Inquiry Handling: Serve as a professional first point of contact for students and visitors, providing accurate information about college activities.
3. Operational Support
Unit Assistance: Provide routine administrative support to various academic departments, helping with the preparation of lecture materials or examination logistics.
Task Versatility: Execute day-to-day office tasks, including inventory tracking of office supplies and coordinating college-wide events or inspections.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
NYSC Status: Must be a currently serving Corps Member (with a significant portion of service time remaining).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
Tech Literacy: Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
