Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber and creative Website Designer / Developer to anchor our digital expansion in Ibadan. In the global travel and tourism sector, success is defined by "Conversion-Centric Design", the ability to build a digital gateway that is not only visually stunning but technically optimized to turn casual browsers into high-value leads. This role is designed for a "Full-Stack Architect" who can blend "Immersive Visual Storytelling" with the "Back-End Rigor" required to manage real-time travel enquiries and booking integrations.
Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Friction User Journeys and a High-Performance Digital Presence." You will be the primary steward of our online storefront: responsible for the end-to-end development lifecycle, from UI/UX prototyping to SEO optimization and security maintenance. If you possess "Exceptional Problem-Solving Skills," a portfolio of professional-grade web projects, and a passion for modern travel tech, we want you to drive our digital transformation.
Requirements:
1. UI/UX Design & Narrative Engineering
Creative Vision: Design an immersive, professional interface that reflects the "aspiration and adventure" of travel services, ensuring brand consistency across all pages.
User Journey Mapping: Engineer intuitive navigation flows that lead visitors effortlessly from destination discovery to the final enquiry or booking stage.
Mobile-First Responsiveness: Ensure the website delivers a flawless experience across all devices, particularly mobile, which accounts for the majority of travel searches.
2. Full-Stack Development & Booking Integration
Core Development: Build and maintain a robust, scalable website using modern frameworks (WordPress, React, or custom HTML/CSS/JS) tailored to our specific business needs.
Conversion Tools: Develop and optimize high-converting landing pages, lead capture forms, and integrated booking engines to streamline the customer acquisition process.
Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize site loading speeds and core web vitals to ensure a premium user experience and lower bounce rates.
3. Platform Stewardship & SEO Excellence
Search Optimization: Implement on-page and technical SEO best practices to ensure our travel services rank high for relevant search queries in Nigeria and beyond.
Security & Maintenance: Conduct regular site backups, plugin updates, and security audits to protect client data and ensure 24/7 uptime.
Content Management: Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate multimedia content (videos, blogs, galleries) that supports our travel promotions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Experience: Proven experience in designing and developing professional websites (Travel/E-commerce experience is a major advantage).
Technical Mastery: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and popular CMS platforms like WordPress. Familiarity with PHP or modern JS frameworks is preferred.
Design Savvy: Strong skills in UI/UX tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Photoshop for prototyping.
Core Competencies
Creative Grit: Ability to translate complex travel offerings into clean, attractive, and functional web designs.
Analytical Thinking: Experience using Google Analytics or similar tools to track user behavior and optimize conversion rates.
Proximity Advantage: Ability to work part-time and collaborate effectively with the team based in Ibadan.
