Job Description:
PwC is seeking a highly skilled Transfer Pricing Manager to lead our client engagements and drive technical excellence within our dedicated TP practice. In the complex landscape of international taxation, you are the navigator. Your mission is to deliver high-quality compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of multinational clients while contributing to the firm’s strategic growth through innovative business development.
As a Manager, you are a leader of people and a master of technical detail. You will motivate and develop junior staff, leveraging their unique strengths to exceed client expectations. We are looking for a professional with at least 6 years of experience who can articulate PwC’s purpose and values while embracing technology to solve the most pressing transfer pricing challenges in the Nigerian and global markets.
Requirements:
1. Technical Mastery & Compliance Governance
Regulatory Authority: Apply deep knowledge of the OECD TP Guidelines, UN Practical Manual, and Nigerian TP Regulations to resolve complex client challenges.
Three-Tiered Documentation: Lead the preparation and review of Local Files, Master Files, and Country-by-Country Reports (CbCR), ensuring full alignment with FIRS and international standards.
Economic Analysis: Conduct sophisticated functional analysis interviews and oversee benchmarking studies using advanced databases like TP Catalyst.
2. Strategic Advisory & Dispute Resolution
TP Planning: Assist clients in developing robust TP policies and planning strategies that mitigate risk and optimize intercompany transactions.
Audit Defense: Represent clients during high-stakes TP audits and disputes, leading interactions with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) with integrity and technical precision.
Contractual Review: Scrutinize intercompany agreements and transaction flows to ensure strict compliance with domestic and international rules.
3. Leadership, Innovation & Practice Management
Team Development: Supervise and mentor junior staff, fostering professional growth and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, audit-ready work.
Business Development: Drive the firm’s growth by preparing compelling proposals, delivering client presentations, and contributing to thought leadership.
Risk & Quality: Manage multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring strict adherence to PwC’s internal quality and risk management protocols.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in Transfer Pricing or International Tax.
Software Proficiency: Mastery of Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel for economic modeling) and hands-on experience with TP databases (e.g., TP Catalyst).
Technical Depth: Exhaustive knowledge of Nigerian and OECD TP regulatory frameworks.
Core Competencies
Leadership: Ability to lead teams, delegate effectively, and manage performance under pressure.
Analytical Rigor: Strong problem-solving skills with a laser focus on data accuracy and detail.
Presentation Excellence: Ability to articulate complex tax concepts to C-suite stakeholders and tax authorities.
