Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-centric Ticketing Officer to join our travel operations team in Abuja. In the fast-paced aviation and travel industry, success is defined by "Routing Efficiency", the ability to navigate complex global distribution systems to provide guests with the most cost-effective and seamless travel experiences. This role is designed for a "Travel Consultant", a professional who can blend technical mastery of ticketing software with the interpersonal grit required to manage high-pressure travel requests.
Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Error Bookings and Optimal Fare Management." You will be the technical heart of our travel desk: responsible for issuing tickets, managing re-issuances, and navigating airline policies to support both individual and corporate clients. If you possess "Analytical Grit," a professional demeanor, and a deep understanding of travel logistics, we want you to drive our ticketing excellence.
Requirements:
1. GDS Architecture & Fare Optimization
Inventory Navigation: Utilize Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo to search, book, and issue domestic and international flight tickets.
Fare Construction: Apply advanced knowledge of airline geography and "IATA" fare rules to construct complex multi-city itineraries that minimize costs for the client.
PNR Management: Maintain absolute accuracy in Passenger Name Records (PNR), ensuring all traveler data, meal preferences, and special assistance codes are correctly entered.
2. Reservation Lifecycle & Compliance
Re-issuance & Refunds: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of a ticket, including processing date changes, rerouting, and handling refund requests in accordance with airline-specific policies.
Visa & Document Advisory: Provide basic guidance to travelers regarding passport validity, visa requirements, and health protocols for their destination to ensure smooth boardings.
Policy Stewardship: Ensure all bookings comply with company travel policies and international aviation regulations.
3. Client Relationship & Commercial Synergy
Consultative Support: Act as a travel advisor, offering alternative routes or dates to help clients achieve the best value for their budget.
Corporate Liaison: Handle high-priority bookings for corporate accounts, ensuring adherence to specific service level agreements (SLAs) and reporting requirements.
Issue Resolution: Swiftly resolve ticketing discrepancies or flight cancellations, acting as a bridge between the airline and the traveler during disruptions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Relevant qualifications (Degree or Diploma) in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
Technical Mastery: Proven proficiency in at least one major GDS platform (Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo) is highly preferred.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with IATA standards, airport codes, and international flight routing.
