Job Description:
- Perform system tests to make sure it conforms to production and quality standards, analyze malfunctions and perform repairs, adjustments, or alterations as required, or refer for additional test/repair, ensure records are kept, and confer with engineering, design, and quality assurance.
Duties
- Use test procedures, test programs, and written instructions to test products and/or subassemblies.
- Perform troubleshooting of product and equipment to meet production schedules and performance standards.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and drawings in order to properly test the product.
- Ensure proper preventative maintenance is in place for test equipment.
- Carry out test to indicate the engine’s ability to provide the required power; alternator’s capability to provide the required voltage stability, performance of the whole systems, oil and fuel systems.
- Test generator under load conditions.
- Operate and transfer information from data acquisition equipment in support of reliability and performance testing of electrical power generating set.
- Calculate load bank settings to determine load ratings, maximum power and fuel consumption and process the data in accordance with well-defined methods and designated formulas.
- Operate equipment and record test data pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunctioning or observational errors.
- Analyze and present various test data in accordance with established methods.
- Review records for device traceability and compliance.
- Maintain safe and clean environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Take up IMS responsibilities such as reporting unsafe act, condition or procedure in the work place, participating in fire or emergency drill at work, participating in incident reporting and investigation when necessary and adherence to Company policies
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent is a plus.
- 3 - 5 years of proven work experience in testing electro-mechanical products in a manufacturing production environment preferred.
Competencies:
- Knowledge of product testing and generator assembly
- Strong knowledge of digital electronics and repair/troubleshoot methodologies
- Proficient in the use of test equipment such as DMM, oscilloscopes, function generator, load banks, AC and DC power supplies, LCR meter and automated test stands
- Able to read basic electronics schematics and assembly drawings
- Strong attention to details
- Strong manual dexterity
- Use initiative and judgment to solve problems
- Strong troubleshooting skills with knowledge of quality standards
- Able to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions
- Able to perform basic mechanical assembly skills
- Able to effectively work in a team environment
- Model positive and professional work ethics
