Job Description:
- The Stock Recorder is responsible for the meticulous documentation of all movements within the Paint Section.
- From raw materials and pigments to finished paint products, you will ensure that every liter and tin is accounted for.
- Your role is critical in maintaining the bridge between the warehouse floor and the accounting department.
Key Responsibilities
- Detailed Recording: Document all incoming and outgoing stock, including base paints, colorants, thinners, and chemical additives.
- Batch & Color Tracking: Maintain precise records of batch numbers, production dates, and specific color codes (e.g., RAL or Pantone) to ensure product traceability.
- Inventory Documentation: Update manual ledgers and digital inventory systems (ERP/Excel) immediately upon the movement of goods.
- Stock Verification: Assist the Store Manager in regular physical stock-taking to reconcile physical balances with recorded data.
- Discrepancy Reporting: Identify and report any variances between actual stock and recorded figures, investigating potential causes such as leakage or mislabeling.
- Requisition Processing: Verify and record all internal material requisitions for the production or mixing team.
- Shelf Life Monitoring: Track "Best Before" dates and ensure the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method is applied to prevent the spoilage of chemical products
Requirements:
- BSc, HND, OND or related field experience will be an added advantage
