Job Description:

We are seeking a versatile and highly creative Still/Motion Graphics Designer and Video Editor to join our production team in Lagos. This is a "3-in-1" creative role designed for a visual storyteller who can move effortlessly between designing a sleek corporate brand asset, animating a complex news montage, and editing a deep-dive documentary.

You will be the creative engine behind our visual identity, responsible for crafting "visually stunning" stings, montages, and marketing artwork. Whether you are building 2D/3D animations or cutting high-stakes news reports, your goal is to ensure our brand message is innovative, cohesive, and broadcast-ready. If you have a "pixel-perfect" eye for detail and a mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite, we want you on our team.

Requirements:

1. Motion Graphics & Visual Effects (VFX)

• Program Branding: Design and animate high-impact stings, montages, and "lower thirds" for our various broadcast programs and digital stations.

• Conceptualization: Develop storyboards and sketches to illustrate design ideas, ensuring stakeholder alignment before moving into production.

• Format Optimization: Ensure all motion assets are optimized for various platforms, from high-definition broadcast to mobile-first social media formats.

2. Video Editorial & Storytelling

• Documentary & News Editing: Utilize Adobe Premiere Pro to edit documentaries, news reports, and long-form features, maintaining a narrative flow that engages the audience.

• Multi-Format Output: Collaborate with reporters and producers to ensure video content meets the technical and editorial standards of the newsroom.

• Creative Input: Participate in brainstorming sessions to bring fresh, innovative perspectives to video projects and campaign concepts.

3. Still Graphics & Brand Marketing

• Identity Design: Create stunning illustrations, designs, and artwork for marketing materials, ensuring 100% adherence to brand guidelines.

• Visual Foundations: Apply a strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout to all still assets, from digital banners to print-ready corporate profiles.

• 3D Integration: (Advantage) Leverage 3D software (e.g., Cinema 4D) to create depth and advanced animations for strategic projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Motion Graphics, Graphic Design, Animation, or a related field.

• Experience: Proven experience with a strong portfolio showcasing a mix of video edits, motion graphics, and still designs.

• Location: Full-time role based in Lagos.

Technical Competencies

• Adobe Mastery: Expert proficiency in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

• 3D Skills: Knowledge of Cinema 4D or similar 3D tools is a significant advantage.

• Design Theory: Deep understanding of visual storytelling, typography, and motion physics.

• Soft Skills: Exceptional time management to handle multiple projects under tight "Newsroom-style" deadlines.
