Job Description:

Africhange is seeking a core Software Engineer (Angular) to build the frontend experience that powers our cross-border remittance platform. You will be a key contributor to our mission, designing and maintaining responsive, accessible, and high-performance interfaces that simplify international money transfers. This is a high-ownership role where you will make critical architectural decisions, mentor team members, and ensure our platform remains fast and reliable, even in challenging, low-bandwidth environments. Requirements:

• Product Engineering: Build and maintain high-performance Angular components for core features including KYC flows, real-time exchange rate displays, and transaction histories.

• Mobile-First Development: Implement responsive UI designs that perform reliably across a variety of devices and network conditions, specifically optimized for our diaspora user base.

• Performance Optimization: Profile and optimize application performance, including bundle size management, lazy loading, and refining change detection strategies.

• Quality Assurance: Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure stability in critical payment flows; lead regression cycles and functional testing.

• Collaboration: Partner with designers (Figma), backend engineers (API contracts), and product managers to ship pixel-precise, accessible, and intuitive features.

• Leadership & Mentorship: Drive engineering standards, conduct rigorous code reviews, mentor junior contributors, and contribute to the growth of our component library.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Frameworks: Mastery of Angular (v12+), specifically components, services, routing, reactive forms, and lazy loading.

• Languages: Strong proficiency in TypeScript (interfaces, generics).

• Styling: Deep expertise in HTML5 & CSS3/SCSS for responsive, cross-browser compatibility.

• Data Handling: Advanced use of RxJS and Observable patterns for reactive state management.

• Tooling: Experience with RESTful API integration, Git/Git Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and JavaScript build tools (Webpack/Gulp).

• Testing: Unit testing experience with Jasmine/Karma or Jest.

• Bonus Skills: Familiarity with Ng Zorro or Ng Bootstrap is considered a significant advantage.
