Job Description:
This is a full time role for a Senior Project Manager (Consultant).
The Senior Project Manager must have experience of delivering high-rise buildings and will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of projects with in house Project managers, manage stakeholders, conduct regular site inspections, prepare high level project report to clients, demonstrate good leadership skills and be commercially orientated.
Job Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develops and implements construction strategies, goals, and objectives.
- Project Oversight: Monitors and directs multiple construction projects, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Team Management: Leads and manages construction teams, including project managers and project engineers.
- Quality Assurance: Ensures compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Innovation and Improvement: Encourages innovation, implements process improvements, and adopts new technologies.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensures adherence to safety protocols, building codes, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Business Development: Contributes to business growth through identifying new opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
- Client Relations: Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders,
- Risk Management: Identifies and mitigates risks associated with construction projects.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Oversees and manages construction budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveyor, Building Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
- 7 - 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods and materials.
- Strategic thinker with financial acumen and risk management ability.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Projectmanagement and Planning tools.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, COREN, CORBON, NIQS or similar are an added advantage.
- Proven track record in delivering high rise building and large-scale projects (commercial and residential).
