Job Description:

NUTM is seeking a distinguished Senior Lecturer to provide academic leadership within our BSc Artificial Intelligence program. You will be a primary architect of our undergraduate curriculum, helping to shape the intellectual framework for the next generation of African technologists. We are looking for an established academic who possesses a prolific research portfolio, deep pedagogical expertise, and the vision to elevate our undergraduate program to global standards of excellence.

Requirements:

• Undergraduate Leadership: Deliver advanced instruction and provide academic leadership for core BSc AI modules, ensuring content is both theoretically rigorous and industry-aligned.

• Curriculum Strategy: Spearhead the ongoing development and refinement of the AI curriculum, ensuring that the program addresses contemporary technological needs and emerging trends.

• Research & Scholarship: Maintain a consistent, high-impact research agenda. Contribute original findings to the field and mentor junior faculty and students toward achieving similar research excellence.

• Student Development: Act as a senior mentor for undergraduate students, providing guidance on academic performance, research initiatives, and professional career paths in the AI sector.

• Institutional Stewardship: Represent the department in university-wide committee work, contribute to program accreditation and development, and actively serve the academic community.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: A Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a closely related field from a reputable institution.

• Research Excellence: An outstanding, proven record of scholarly publications in top-tier journals and conferences.

• Teaching Experience: Significant, demonstrated experience in teaching and designing curriculum at the undergraduate level in domains such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Robotics, and AI Ethics.

• Mentorship: A proven history of guiding students to achieve academic and professional success.

• Professional Engagement: Active involvement and leadership within recognized professional AI organizations.

• Soft Skills:
