Job Description:
We are seeking a high-performing Senior Advisory Professional to join our International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) practice. In this role, you will be at the forefront of complex cross-border financial and tax strategy, advising multinational corporations on the tax implications of global restructuring, financing, and M&A activities. You will blend technical tax expertise with commercial acumen to mitigate risks and optimize value for high-profile global clients.
The ideal candidate is a disciplined tax strategist with a deep understanding of transfer pricing and international group tax laws, capable of leading diverse teams and managing sophisticated consulting assignments.
Requirements:
Transaction Advisory & Tax Structuring
M&A Support: Provide expert advice on the tax structuring of corporate transactions, including company acquisitions, sales, and cross-border reorganizations.
Tax Due Diligence: Identify and quantify tax risks during due diligence processes and actively participate in negotiations with sellers to safeguard client interests.
Strategic Financing: Advise on international group tax law and foreign tax laws specifically related to complex cross-border financing and restructuring concepts.
Transfer Pricing & Value Chain Strategy
System Implementation: Support multinational entities in the planning, implementation, and meticulous documentation of transfer pricing systems.
Value Creation: Structure cross-border value creation processes to ensure global tax efficiency and compliance with international standards.
Controversy Management: Lead the support for tax audits, mutual agreement procedures (MAP), and the negotiation of Advance Pricing Agreements (APA).
Project Leadership & People Development
Project Management: Oversee complex tax projects, ensuring the seamless coordination of multiple audit and consulting assignments.
Team Mentorship: Motivate team members and take an active role in promoting their professional growth and personal development.
Client Relations: Act as a primary technical point of contact for stakeholders, translating complex tax legislation into actionable business insights.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Degree in Economics, Law, or Finance.
Professional Certification: Ideally a passed tax exam (e.g., CITN - Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria or equivalent).
Experience:
Minimum of five years of professional experience in international tax consulting.
Specialization in Transfer Pricing or Transaction Projects (M&A) is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Profound knowledge of international group tax law and cross-border value chain structuring.
Ability to conduct rigorous tax due diligence and support high-level negotiations.
