Job Description:

We are seeking a high-capacity Backend Developer with deep proficiency in PHP Laravel and a solid foundation in DevOps to join our engineering team. This role is central to our mission of building secure, high-scale identity systems. You will be responsible for architecting backend services that integrate with complex biometric and identity verification technologies, including the NIMC (National Identity Management Commission) system.

The ideal candidate is a security-conscious builder who can bridge the gap between clean application logic and robust cloud infrastructure.

Requirements:

Core Backend Engineering

• System Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using the Laravel framework.

• API Ecosystem: Implement and manage RESTful APIs for seamless integration with various identity management systems and third-party technology providers.

• Identity Integration: Lead the technical integration of biometric and identity verification technologies, ensuring the existing NIMC identity system is scaled and optimized effectively.

Data Security & Performance

• Security Hardening: Implement industry-leading security measures to safeguard sensitive identity data and prevent unauthorized leaks.

• Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize backend systems to ensure maximum reliability and efficiency under heavy load.

DevOps & Infrastructure

• Pipeline Management: Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines to facilitate smooth, automated deployment processes.

• Infrastructure Health: Monitor, troubleshoot, and scale cloud infrastructure to maintain 99.9% system uptime and peak performance.

Collaboration & Standards

• Cross-Functional Teamwork: Partner with frontend developers and product managers to translate complex requirements into production-ready solutions.

• Technical Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for the codebase, APIs, and system architecture.

• Best Practices: Enforce strict adherence to industry standards regarding code quality, unit testing, and deployment cycles.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Backend Developer.

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating the successful delivery of complex, scalable projects.

  • Experience with Identity Management systems or Biometric technologies is a significant advantage.

• Technical Skills:

  • Mastery of PHP Laravel.

  • DevOps Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Jenkins.

  • Cloud Expertise: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Databases: Strong understanding of both SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL environments.

• Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a meticulous attention to detail.

  • The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
