Job Description:

We are seeking a high-performing Sales Manager to lead our commercial growth and expand our footprint in the solar energy market. In an era of rising grid costs, solar isn't just an alternative; it is a critical necessity. Your mission is to drive aggressive sales growth by identifying high-value opportunities and leading a team that can translate technical solar specs into compelling financial value for customers.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of management experience specifically within the solar industry. You must be a "Closer-in-Chief" who can mentor a sales team to navigate complex technical sales cycles, from residential rooftops to large-scale Commercial & Industrial (C&I) installations.

Requirements:

1. Revenue Generation & Market Expansion

  • Growth Strategy: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand the customer base in key residential, commercial, and industrial segments.

  • Pipeline Management: Oversee the full sales funnel, ensuring a high conversion rate from initial lead generation to final commissioning.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify and nurture relationships with real estate developers, facility managers, and corporate partners to drive bulk sales.

2. Team Leadership & Technical Coaching

  • Performance Culture: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, setting clear KPIs and holding members accountable to monthly and quarterly targets.

  • Technical Enablement: Ensure the sales team is proficient in explaining solar ROI, battery life cycles (Lithium-ion vs. Lead-acid), and inverter capacities to diverse clients.

  • Recruitment & Training: Identify talent gaps and conduct ongoing training on sales techniques and evolving renewable energy technologies.

3. Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning

  • Trend Analysis: Stay ahead of industry shifts, including new battery technologies, government energy policies, and fluctuating import duties.

  • Competitor Benchmarking: Monitor competitor pricing and service offerings to ensure our value proposition remains the most attractive in the market.

  • Product Feedback: Act as the "voice of the customer," providing feedback to the technical and product teams to refine our offerings based on market demand.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sales Manager specifically in the Solar/Renewable Energy industry.

  • Track Record: Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a leadership capacity.

Core Competencies

  • Solar IQ: Deep understanding of solar system sizing, PPA (Power Purchase Agreements), and the Nigerian energy landscape.

  • Leadership: Exceptional ability to motivate a team and drive performance in a high-pressure environment.

  • Communication: Mastery of persuasive communication, with the ability to present complex technical solutions to non-technical decision-makers.
